Before having Mrs Yap’s tuition, I was honestly horrible at POA. I didn't even know the basics (not exaggerating). At first, I thought she was going to be really strict, but in just my first few lessons, she was able to help me catch up on 6 months' worth of topics.

Her clear explanations and teaching method made everything so much easier to understand. Because of her guidance, my grades improved tremendously, I went from getting Cs to scoring straight As throughout and A1 for my Prelims.

Mrs Yap has been of great help in my POA, from struggling to understand double entries and theories, to now having the confidence to tackle full papers and scoring high A1 for Prelims. Without Mrs Yap, this could not have happened.

Not only is she thorough in her teaching, making sure I understand each part of a topic, she is also extremely helpful outside of tuition hours, curating notes and organising files for my revision. Mrs Yap has been instrumental in helping me improve in my POA results and I could not have asked for a better tutor.

I am sincerely thankful to Mrs Yap for her dedication and guidance. Since Secondary 3, I had always struggled with POA and consistently failed, even receiving a U grade. However, after tuition lessons with Mrs Yap from March this year, I began to understand the subject much better as she explained each concept patiently and clearly.

Her step-by-step approach, constant encouragement and teaching methods helped me gain confidence and improve steadily. With her support, I progressed from a U grade to an A1 for my prelims, something I never thought possible. I am truly grateful for her commitment in helping me achieve this milestone.

I used to fail POA back in Sec 3 and it was one of the subjects that I really struggled with and lacked confidence in. I never thought I could improve this much in Sec 4. It all changed when I started lessons with Mrs Yap. Mrs Yap has been incredibly patient with me from the start and always took her time to understand where I was struggling and always came up with alternative ways to help me understand topics I couldn’t grasp.

Thanks to her teaching and continuous support, my grades improved from a C to an A1, something which I am still proud of to date. Most importantly, she made me believe in myself and that I am capable of doing well. Because of her, POA has now become one of my favourite subjects.

I will always be grateful to Mrs Yap for not giving up on me and for believing in me even when I had not believe in myself. She genuinely made a difference in my academic journey. I am now very confident for my POA for N levels.

I'm glad we made the decision to switch our daughter’s tutor to Mrs Yap and the results were amazing! Within the first term under her guidance, my daughter has improved from grade C to A.

Mrs Yap is able to assess my daughter's foundation on POA from the first few sessions and quickly mapped out a plan on how to help her to understand the subject better. She is very patient and didn't give up despite knowing her foundation is really bad. She is also strict with my girl for the homework she gives and that made me very happy and feels blessed that we are able to find such a good tutor for my daughter who genuinely cares.

I started learning Sec 3 Principles of Accounts with Mrs Yap in November 2023, and honestly, I was super nervous at first because I’d never done anything like POA before. But Mrs Yap made everything so much more understandable and less scary! Her notes are really well-organized, and the way she explains things makes even the complicated stuff seem manageable.

She’s always really patient and never makes me feel bad if I don’t understand something or if I make mistakes. I always feel comfortable asking questions, and she actually makes learning POA kind of fun, which I didn’t expect at all. She checks in on my progress and lets me know how I can improve, and she always encourages me, which helps my confidence a lot.

Thanks to Mrs Yap, I managed to get an A1 for my Prelims, which I’m super grateful for! Now I feel much more prepared for my Sec 4 Cambridge exams. A big thank you to Mrs Yap for tutoring my son. He started with her mid-way through the second term of Sec 4 and Mrs Yap has been a great help to him. She is a dedicated tutor going the extra mile to ensure that her assistance is personalised for each individual child. My son had certain learning difficulties and needed to repeat certain topics until they were fully understood. She was very patient working with him to do so.

The other quality I liked about this tuition is that Mrs Yap is very responsible, on time and doesn’t cancel tuition at the last minute. Her administration was impeccable and planning excellent.

Parents often underestimate the importance of not just a good tutor but good administration and Mrs Yap manages both very well. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to improve in POA.

Mrs Yap is a patient and dedicated tutor, she always goes the extra mile for her students by finding extra practices and preparing summarised notes for us. She uses different ways to explain topics and clarify questions to her students so that they will grasp the concepts and fully understand them.

I can never thank Mrs Yap enough for making POA so interesting that it became my favourite subject. Without the help of Mrs Yap, I wouldn't be able to achieve such great marks (A1) for POA!

Mrs Yap is a patient and responsible tutor. My son, Austin's grade has improved from an E for Sec 3 finals to achieving A1s throughout his Sec 4 WAs and a final solid score of 89% for his O Levels prelims, top of his class.

Through her past years of working in senior finance positions, Mrs Yap is able to relate accounting concepts in its simplest manner to make it understandable and meaningful to her students, intriguing their interests in the subject.

Austin had not like this subject until he met Mrs Yap, and interestingly it has since become his pet subject. Of course, Mrs Yap is demanding in terms of homework submission, which is really beneficial for the students, as POA is after all a practical subject.
